User Insights Specialist - Credit Union

The User Insights Specialist understands members needs and continuously improves our digital platform to deliver the best member experience including functionality, usability, and engaging interaction through our digital channels.

Duties include: blending both quantitative metrics and quantitative feedback; partnering with UX designers and Digital Experience Managers to represent user needs; planning, recruiting and conducting user research; designing and leading the execution of usability studies; and creating clear presentations highlighting the impact of customer experience on business results.

Education Requirements

Normally Needed

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Design, or related subject.

Before Graduation

  • Gain Work Experiences. (e.g., Co-op Education, Internships, Work Integrated Learning).
  • Be Curious. Ask questions about the work environment and day-to-day tasks of a job. This includes reaching out to professionals in the field, faculty, counsellors/advisors, neighbours and friends.

 Spotlight Requirements

  • At least four years of experience in user research, usability testing, and knowledge of design software.
  • A general sense of UI Design and experience working with designers.
